Ús de les preposició IN

A) Lloc

· Per indicar espais oberts i tancats.

·Per indicar que una cosa està dins altra.

·Per indicar un desplaçament dins un lloc geogràfic.

Exemples:

I live in Brighton.

• The cat is in the box.
• I found your address in the phone book.
• My parents arrive in France on Monday.

B) Temps

• Mesos
• Anys
• Èpoques
• Parts del dia
• Períodes de temps

Exemples:

We went to Mexico in May.

• I always run in the mornings.
• I will see him in a week.
  She was born in 1976.

Ús de la preposició AT

A) Lloc

• S'utilitza davant d'edificis com cases, universitats, aeroports.
• Per a indicar aconteciments com reunions, festes, concerts, deports
• Quan ens referim a llocs que no siguin ciutats no països.

Exemples:

He is at home.

• I always visit my sister at work.
• We eat at the table.
• She will see him at the theatre.
• Her name is at the bottom of the page.
• When did you arrive at the airport?

B) Temps

• L'utilitzam davant de l'hora i de festes.

Exemples:

The pen is on the table.

• They have a photograph of Paris on the wall.
• I am on the bus.
• Her apartment is on the second floor.

Ús de la preposició On

A) Lloc

• Es col·loca davant de noms de llocs con base com meses, sols, etc..
• Quan ens referim a llocs d'una habitació com techo o pared.
• Per a indicar que algu esta dins de un transport public o en una planta d'un edifici

Exemples:

The pen is on the table.

• They have a photograph of Paris on the wall.
• I am on the bus.
• Her apartment is on the second floor.

B) Temps:

• L'utilitzam con dies de la setmana i festes.

Exemples:

They went to Mexico on the first of May.

• He runs on Mondays and Fridays.
• I will see Luis on his birthday.
